How does Convo access my Zoom calls?

Convo runs locally on your computer, capturing Zoom system audio. It never joins as a visible bot—other participants don't see it. Audio processes on your device before syncing to Slack.

Will other people on the Zoom call know I'm using this?

No. Unlike Fireflies or Otter, Convo doesn't add a "recording bot" to your Zoom call. It's completely invisible. Only you know it's running.

How does the data actually get to Slack?

Convo connects to Slack through automation platforms — Zapier, Make, or IFTTT. After your Zoom meeting, Convo triggers your configured automation, which sends the data you've chosen (transcripts, summaries, action items) to Slack. Set it up once, then it runs automatically. Will Slack channels get spammed with Zoom summaries?

No. You choose which channels get which meeting types. Internal Zoom 1:1s can go to DMs, while all-hands go to #general in Slack.

Can team members react to Zoom meeting notes in Slack?

Absolutely. Summaries posted to Slack are regular messages—people can comment, add emoji reactions, or start threads to discuss specific Zoom call points.

Does this work with Slack private channels?

Yes. Convo respects Slack permissions. If only certain people were in the Zoom meeting, the summary only goes to Slack channels they have access to.
